Privacy Policy for Hueful

Hueful (the “App”) is developed and operated by Feel Refreshed Studio Limited (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.

We have designed Hueful to be a privacy-respecting tool. Hueful works entirely offline and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Please read this policy to understand our practices.

1. Summary

• Hueful does not collect any personal information.
• Hueful does not require an account, login, or registration.
• Hueful does not contain analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting tools.
• Hueful does not make any network requests; it functions completely offline.
• All data you create stays on your device and is never sent to us or any third party.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, request, or have access to any of the following:

• Personal identifiers (name, email address, phone number, account credentials).
• Device identifiers, advertising identifiers (IDFA), or usage analytics.
• Location data.
• Contacts, calendars, microphone, or camera data.
• Any data that leaves your device.

Hueful contains no third-party software development kits (SDKs) for analytics, advertising, or tracking, and makes no network connections of any kind.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

To provide its features, Hueful stores the following information locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to us or any third party, and we cannot access it.

• Palettes you create: A name, optional notes, and foreground/background color values, saved to a local file within the App’s private storage.
• App preferences: Settings such as your display options, preferred color space, haptics preference, onboarding state, and your last-used colors, saved in the App’s local preferences.

This data is removed when you delete the App from your device.

4. Photos

Hueful includes an eyedropper feature that lets you pick a color from one of your photos.

• When you use this feature, the App uses the system photo picker (PHPicker). The picker runs separately from the App, so Hueful does not receive access to your photo library and does not request photo-library permission.
• You choose a single image, and Hueful samples its color entirely on your device. The image is processed only in memory to read the selected color and is not uploaded, saved, or shared by the App.
• Note: If you select a photo stored in iCloud, your device’s operating system may download that photo from iCloud to make it available. This is standard Apple system behavior and is not initiated or controlled by Hueful.

5. Sharing and Exporting

Any sharing or exporting in Hueful is initiated by you and handled entirely through Apple’s standard system features:

• Share sheet: You may share a palette as an image or as a code snippet (Swift, SwiftUI, CSS, or JSON). You select the destination; the App does not send this content anywhere on its own.
• Clipboard: You may copy a color value or code snippet to your device’s clipboard.

Hueful never automatically shares or transmits your content.

6. Children’s Privacy

Hueful does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children. The App is safe for users of all ages and contains no data collection, advertising, or external links that gather information.

7. Data Security

Because Hueful does not collect or transmit data, there is no personal data held by us that could be exposed. Data you create within the App is stored locally and protected by your device’s built-in security features.

8. Your Rights

Since we do not collect or hold any of your personal data, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. You remain in full control of the data stored locally in the App, and you can remove all of it at any time by deleting the App.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected in an updated version of the App or on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, including the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).
